With our award‑winning, patented platform, we help our clients systematically identify the right action and improve operational efficiencies in an ever‑changing regulatory environment.
About this role
As Droit’s product offering grows, we’re looking for a talented Fullstack Product Engineer to design, build and own client‑facing web applications. You will report to the VP of Engineering and collaborate closely with other members of the Engineering and Product teams. This role is essential to delivering user‑centric digital experiences to our team members and clients. If you are excited by the idea of building products that are elegant, functional and loved by their users, this might be the role for you.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop high‑performance web applications to support real‑time regulatory services at sophisticated financial firms. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing our tech stack, pioneering the development of efficient and scalable systems, and ultimately deploying our products successfully to clients.
What you’ll do in this role:
- Understand clients' goals and objectives and develop strategies to help them achieve those goals, including gathering feedback to inform further product development.
- Work end‑to‑end across the entire development lifecycle from idea to build to deployment to measuring the impact of the feature. This involves breaking down large problems into small, iterative, and shippable components.
- Work closely with Product and User Experience to build roadmaps and deliver functionality in targeted, rapid iterations.
- Drive technical architecture and solution design.
- Build an in‑depth understanding of Droit’s products and services and provide technical expertise and BAU production support to customers.
- Plan and manage the delivery of on‑prem and cloud deployed products, upgrades, and enhancements to clients in conjunction with our Platform team.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to a high‑performance engineering culture.
What we are looking for:
- Experience and interest in building web applications using User‑Centered Design principles.
- Strong understanding of system design, including the ability to architect scalable and efficient front‑to‑back solutions.
- The capacity to envision a variety of solutions and to clearly articulate them, explain the trade‑offs, and how they align/impact business objectives.
- Ability to take full ownership of projects that span months, leading from concept through to delivery.
- A high degree of curiosity with the ability to ask thoughtful questions and solve challenging problems.
- Experience and the desire to work directly with clients/customers to shape product and technical decisions.
- A collaborative mind‑set that enjoys working with others and knowledge sharing to achieve the best results.
- An eagerness to give and receive feedback in an open team atmosphere to better the overall result.
Desired Technical Experience:
- Backend: strong proficiency in Java, Node.js/TypeScript.
- Frontend: expertise in modern frameworks, primarily React and TypeScript.
- Infrastructure: experience with modern cloud systems like AWS or Azure.
- Direct experience using relational databases (e.g. Postgres, Oracle).
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
- Practical experience in a functional language (e.g. Clojure, Haskell) is a plus.
What we offer:
- Holistic benefits for you and your family to support your physical and mental health.
- A commitment to growth through continuous feedback and experiences.
- The opportunity to work in close‑knit, global teams.
- Flexibility for where you work and purpose for when we come together in person.
