Are you an experienced fresh produce professional with a strong technical background in fruit quality, stock rotation, and supply chain coordination? We are recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading fresh produce supplier in Kent looking for a proactive Product Manager (Stone Fruit & Kiwi) to oversee product quality and operational performance across key categories.

The Role

This is a hands-on, high-impact role acting as the central point of contact for quality and stock rotation decisions from arrival to customer dispatch. You will collaborate daily with Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, internal technical teams, growers, and retail/commercial customers to ensure top-tier product standards while maximising yield and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock & Quality Management: Monitor stock quality, control inventory rotation, and make key operational decisions to align product specifications with customer expectations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside QA, Production, and Supply Chain teams to maintain seamless product flow and reduce waste/defects.
  • Commercial & Operational Balance: Make confident, fast-paced decisions regarding yield, fruit quality, and order fulfilment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with growers, commercial teams, and external customers regarding fruit specifications and availability.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Practical experience within fresh produce, fruit production, quality assurance, or product management.
  • Solid understanding of fruit quality standards, defects, and stock control principles (experience with stone fruit or kiwi is a strong advantage).
  • Confident decision-maker capable of thriving in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to deal with operational teams, growers, and customers alike.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week), this role is 100% site-based.
