An opportunity to build or develop your career within the livestock and red meat industry, joining an established food manufacturing business that is continuing to invest and grow its operations in Scotland.
This is a highly supplier-facing role, where you’ll build relationships with existing farmers and suppliers while helping to develop the business’s growing supply base.
You’ll play an important part in sourcing high-quality cattle and sheep to meet the requirements of retail, catering and export customers, combining relationship management with the commercial side of livestock procurement.
Importantly, you don’t necessarily need previous livestock buying experience.
The business is equally interested in hearing from experienced buyers and individuals looking to establish a career within livestock procurement, with full training provided.
You’ll suit the opportunity if you’re:
- Confident and personable, with strong communication skills
- Commercially minded and comfortable building relationships
- Motivated, ambitious and keen to develop
- Able to adapt within a fast-moving and competitive environment
- Genuinely interested in livestock, agriculture or the red meat industry
For someone at the earlier stages of their career, this could be an excellent opportunity to gain specialist industry knowledge and develop into an experienced Livestock Buyer.
