We are partnering with an exceptionally fast-scaling food manufacturing challenger brand in West London that is shaking up the UK food scene.

Combining authentic heritage, artisanal recipes, and a modern, sustainability-led approach, they manufacture and distribute premium food products to top chefs and foodservice channels nationwide.

Having achieved strong growth over their first few years, they are now entering an exciting scale-up phase.

The Role

As the Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end supply chain from long-lead international imports through to UK supplier management, stock integrity, and daily production planning.

Working directly alongside the business founders and factory operations teams, you will act as the operational backbone of the business.

You will combine hands-on stock management with high-level data analysis, demand forecasting, and system optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Stock & Inventory

Control: Take total responsibility for stock integrity across the business.

Oversee goods-in, warehouse flow, picking accuracy, stock rotation, and write-off minimisation across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods

  • International & UK Purchasing: Manage purchase orders, track lead times, and coordinate global import cycles.

Direct daily communication with international and domestic suppliers, managing freight, logistics, and customs clearance.

  • Demand & Production

Planning: Build robust demand planning models and dashboards from scratch.

Feed accurate inventory and sales data into factory schedules to support the Production Manager and ops team.

  • Systems & Data

Ownership: Own, manage, and optimise the inventory and ERP system ( Cin7 Core ).

Evaluate tool integrations, build automated reporting frameworks, and drive process digitisation.

  • People & Supplier Management: Build strong working relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal warehouse/ops staff to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead cost-saving projects, product development (EPD) cost reviews, and operational workflow redesigns as the business expands.
  • Your Skills & Experience
  • Proven background within food operations, drink, or fast-paced batch manufacturing.
  • Demonstrable experience optimizing an ERP, WMS, or inventory system. Experience with

Cin7 Core is a strong advantage, but proficiency in systems like Unleashed, Net Suite, or Trade Gecko is equally welcome.

  • Advanced Data & Excel Skills: Ability to build complex models, supply chain dashboards, and forecasting sheets from scratch without templates.
  • End-to-End Supply Chain Ownership: Hands-on experience spanning demand planning, production scheduling, inventory control, and international import logistics/customs.
  • SME Mindset: A proactive, detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in entrepreneurial, fast-paced environments.
