- Technical & Product Compliance Co-ordinator
- Reporting to: Technical Manager
- Hours of work: 09.00-17.00 Monday – Friday 40 hrs pw
- Occasional Saturday mornings may be requested
- English is the language of operation onsite
Job purpose: Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance and reinforcement of the businesses food safety management systems to ensure all products comply with legal standards and meet customer expectations.
- Tasks
- Ownership of all investigating and responding to customer comments or complaints regarding food quality, safety, or allegations of food contamination
- Keep all supplier and customer information databases (specifications, accreditations etc) up to date. Responsible for Supplier approval (VACCP and TACCP).
- To use Nutri calc to generate Nutritional value for specifications.
- Support with new customer wins and maintain current customer base relative to their technical standards/needs.
- Support on Mass Balance, Traceability and Mock recall exercises inhouse and under audit situations as per schedule and during audits (utilising trained team).
- Lead and uphold of company procedures and records, with compliance to BRCGS standards.
- Raising non-conformances when required.
- Part of the Internal auditing team and participating in audits monthly as per schedule.
- Lead all raw material and finished product specifications to ensure they are kept up to date and reviewed regularly.
- Works very closely with Production, Engineering and Warehouse to ensure food safety/product quality compliance.
- Technical representative for factory trials, documenting and report writing.
- Lead of pest control processes including external management of pest control companies.
- Reports on any non-conformances with corrective actions.
- Electronic & manual recording of data as require by role, specific but not limited to electronic traceability system.
- Creating of label according to legal requirements and ensuring the factory have the latest version available.
- Attendance at company mandatory & role specific internal & external Learning & Development sessions.
- Monthly Technical report capturing and submission.
- Deputise for the Technical Manager in absence with support from the Technical and production co-ordinator.
- HACCP – Team member monthly meeting (HACCP Training).
- Pest control back-up
- Customer audit back-up NPD
- Ensure that signing off on product specifications and documentation are carried out.
- Take responsibility for successful handover of product to production.
- Run trial batches of new or existing products for samples in and out of the bakery.
- Carry out factory trials when developing new products or using new ingredients.
- Product testing start- and end of life
- QAS for new product developed
- Compliance to all company policies and procedures.
- Own the NPD process to ensure all who are involved are adequately trained and completing the process correctly.
