The Opportunity
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will work as part of an experienced engineering team, carrying out a range of mechanical assembly, fitting, dismantling and testing activities .
The roles offer variety and the opportunity to work on complex mechanical equipment within a highly established engineering environment.
- Depending on your experience and skill set, your responsibilities may include:
- Mechanical assembly of industrial equipment.
- Building and dismantling equipment for new and aftermarket requirements.
- Working from engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Mechanical fitting, alignment and installation.
- Preparing equipment for testing.
- Supporting commissioning and performance testing.
- Setting up and dismantling test equipment.
- Identifying and reporting mechanical or quality issues.
- Carrying out self‑inspection and completing relevant documentation.
- Working with tooling and assembly equipment.
- Supporting maintenance activities where required.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working across different areas of the manufacturing operation.
- Supporting colleagues and apprentices where appropriate.
