We are representing a leading importer and distributor of authentic Asian Foods, supplying many of the UK’s best-known restaurants, retailers, and wholesalers.
As a
Sales Executive , you will take ownership of a healthy inherited portfolio of key foodservice customer accounts-focusing significantly on chain restaurants.
This role is a dynamic mix of warm account management and commercial business development.
You will guide food projects from initial concept and menu development through to product launch, building long-term commercial relationships with head office decision-makers while driving profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Account Management & Customer Development
- Day-to-day management and nurture of an established base of key foodservice and chain restaurant accounts.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings, business reviews, and menu pitches at client Head Offices to expand product listings and profitability.
- Support annual pricing reviews, commercial agreements, and customer proposals.
- 2. Commercial & Project Coordination
- Coordinate commercial projects end-to-end-working cross-functionally with Internal Purchasing, Marketing, Technical, NPD, and Supply Chain/Logistics teams.
- Deliver against agreed sales, margin, and volume targets; analyse trends, prepare forecasts, and ensure stock availability for major promotions.
- 3. Representation & Service Excellence
- Attend trade exhibitions, customer tastings, and industry food events across the UK.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, managing commercial administration and listing setups accurately.
- Your Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in B2B sales, account management, or a customer-facing commercial role
- Strong communication, project management, and numeric skills (proficient in Excel).
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel to customer Head Offices and events.
- Background or passion for the food industry, (passion for Asian food ideally)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e. g., SAP).
