Food Safety & Quality Technologist – Days
We are currently recruiting for a Food Safety & Quality Technologist to join a large, fast-paced food manufacturing site in Norfolk.
This is a hands-on, factory-based role working closely with Production to drive high standards across food safety, quality and technical compliance. You’ll play an important part in developing the site’s food safety culture, supporting technical standards and helping identify and resolve quality issues across production.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with Production to maintain strong food safety and quality standards.
- Ensure GMP, allergen controls and quality procedures are consistently followed.
- Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyse process and quality data to identify areas for improvement.
- Support factory-based food safety and quality inspections.
- Coach and support production teams on technical standards and procedures.
- Help drive continuous improvement across Quality and Technical.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across the site.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with previous Quality or Technical experience within food manufacturing.
You should have:
- Experience working with food safety and technical standards.
- Good knowledge of GMP, HACCP and quality systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Confidence working closely with Production and challenging standards where required.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to record, interpret and analyse process data.
HACCP Level 4 and a Food Safety / Food Technology qualification would be advantageous but are not essential.
Package
- £35,000 salary
- 4 on 4 off days
- 6am – 6pm
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, pro rata
