I am currently recruiting for a Raw Material Technologist to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business based in South of England. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or technical compliance who is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced technical environment.

The Role

Reporting into the Technical team, you will be responsible for ensuring all raw materials and ingredients meet the required food safety, quality, and legal standards before being approved for production. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain accurate technical documentation, support compliance processes, and help drive high standards across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review raw material specifications and supplier documentation
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
  • Support supplier approval and risk assessment activities
  • Investigate and support resolution of raw material quality issues
  • Maintain technical records and internal systems
  • Liaise with suppliers and cross-functional teams to obtain and manage technical information
  • Support continuous improvement activities within the technical function

About you

  • Experience within food manufacturing, technical, QA, or compliance environments
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and/or BRC standards
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical documentation management
  • Food Science or Food Technology qualifications would be advantageous
