A leading name in the food distribution sector is launching a brand-new satellite hub in Greater Manchesterand they’re looking for a hands-on Operations Supervisor to run the site from day one.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a brand-new role, shape daily operations, build a small team, and make an immediate impact on service, compliance, and performance across the North.
- As The Operations Supervisor you're duties will include;
- Overseeing all warehouse and transport activity, ensuring smooth picking, stock control, replenishment, and deliveries.
- Leading, motivating, and developing a small team of drivers and warehouse operatives.
- Upholding high standards of safety, quality, and compliance across the operation.
- Managing admin tasks, KPIs, consumables, and documentation to keep the site running efficiently.
- Maintaining vehicles and equipment, coordinating servicing and repairs.
- Planning routes and occasionally supporting with deliveries/collections.
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, flow, and customer service.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising operations, logistics, or multi-site activity.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the confidence to run a site independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach with colleagues and customers.
- Clean Category B driving licence.
- Bonus skills: Japanese/Chinese language ability or a Transport CPC (not essential).
