Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Driving Force Recruitment operating as an employment business are offering an excellent opportunity for HGV 1 Drivers to work for our award-winning client based in Magor (NP26) on a temp to perm contract.
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday Days, Start times between 03:00 am - 06:00 am, Temp to perm/guaranteed shifts, Weekend overtime available.
PAYE Rates:
- Weekday days: £16.50
- Weekday nights: £19.25
- Saturday Day: £21.00
- Saturday Night: £22.34
- Sunday Day: £22.34
- Sunday Night: £23.50
Holidays will be accrued on shift basis and paid when you take holiday - we do not include holiday pay in your hourly rate.
Hours: approximately 10-14 hours per shift.
Your responsibilities as a Class 1 Driver:
- Delivering goods to depots, operating palletised handling equipment, such as pump trucks.
- Ensuring all cargo is safely secured and strapped.
- Opening and closing the heavy side curtains and releasing or tightening the load straps.
- Operating refrigerated vehicles, completing between 1-3 deliveries per day.
The right candidate will have an enthusiastic attitude and be reliable with a commitment to delivering 1st class customer service.
Class 1 Driver - About you:
- HGV 1 C+E licence, Digital tacho & DQC card
- Minimum 6 months experience
- No more than 6 points. No DR, DD, CD, IN10's
- Must have excellent communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work.
- Good Geographical Knowledge
