HGV Class 1 Drivers – Days – £40,500 Driving Force Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for an exciting Temp-to-Perm opportunity with a well-established retail distribution operation. If you're looking for regular day work, guaranteed hours and a genuine route into permanent employment, this could be the role for you. 🚛 The Role You will be completing Class 1 store deliveries to major retail customers. Duties will include: * Class 1 store deliveries * Working to timed delivery slots * Using a pump truck to complete deliveries * Loading and unloading goods * Completing daily vehicle safety checks * Completing delivery paperwork and PODs * Liaising with the transport team * Working in line with Drivers' Hours, WTD and tachograph regulations Please note: This is a hands-on role, so you must be comfortable with the physical side of store deliveries and using a pump truck. 💰 Pay & Hours * £40,500 per annum once permanent * Day shifts * Start times from approximately 02:00 onwards * Minimum 8 hours' pay per shift during the agency period * Minimum 10 hours' pay per shift once permanent * Temp-to-perm opportunity * Regular, ongoing work ✅ Requirements * Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence * Minimum 12 months' Class 1 experience * Valid Driver CPC * Valid Digital Tachograph Card * Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations * Reliable and professional approach * Good timekeeping * Comfortable working to timed deliveries * Ability and willingness to use a pump truck Previous store delivery experience is preferred but not essential
