We are looking to recruit an HGV 1 Driver for regular contracts on days and nights for our clients in the Colchester area in Essex. Day start times between 06:00 & 08:00, Night Start times between 18:00. Working for one of 4 local clients in the local area, the rates will vary between £19 and £21 depending upon whether days or nights. There is potentially ongoing work for drivers of the right calibre. Minimum 10 hours per shift paid.
The ideal candidate will have had their licence for over 24 months for insurance purposes with no more than 6 penalty points. Unfortunately, no endorsements for DD, DR or IN10 infringements due to insurance restrictions. The vacancy is available for an immediate start.
You must be well presented and have experience as an HGV 1 Driver, having an excellent work ethic, wanting to make a difference to the company you are working for, and possessing excellent communication skills. You will be the face of the client whilst driving their vehicles, so they expect professionalism and a can-do attitude whilst remaining within legal limits.
Due to insurance restrictions, we are unable to accept applications for this client if you have DD, DR or IN convictions. Ideally, you will have a clean licence but can accept up to 9 points in some circumstances. The client is always on the lookout for drivers of the right quality, which could lead to a temp to perm position.
We also require HGV 1 & 2 drivers for a number of our other contracts in Essex, and as such, even if this is too far away, we may have something closer to you. In the first instance, please send your CV to us and we will contact you as soon as we can to arrange phone interviews.
