We’re excited to offer an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to join our expanding business as a Transport Planner. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly organised individual to join our team. This role will involve planning and scheduling temperature-controlled deliveries to customer sites, ensuring an efficient, timely, and cost-effective transport operation.
- Plan and coordinate the delivery and collection of goods to various customer delivery points.
- Ensure optimal use of fleet and driver resources.
- Maintain accurate records using in-house systems (training will be provided).
- Support operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with transport legislation.
- Adapt to changes in schedule and resolve transport-related issues promptly.
- Regularly check trailer temperatures.
Working Hours & Salary: Tuesday to Saturday, 13:00 - 22:00 with 1 hour break. Starting salary at £35k, depending on experience.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience in a transport background is beneficial but not essential as full training will be given.
- Strong understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
- Good geographical knowledge (preferred).
- IT literate with strong organisational and communication skills.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
