The Job
You'll be carrying out a mixture of HGV Class 1 night trunking and general haulage duties, depending on the assignment.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Driving articulated HGV Class 1 vehicles
- Depot-to-depot and RDC trunking
- Trailer collections and deliveries
- Curtain-sided trailer work
- Coupling and uncoupling trailers
- Completing delivery paperwork
- Daily vehicle and trailer safety checks
- Following drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
What We're Looking For
You'll need:
- A valid HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Experience of trunking or general haulage preferred
- Confidence reversing and manoeuvring articulated vehicles
- Good understanding of drivers' hours regulations
- Reliable timekeeping and a professional attitude
