Class 1 Night Driver in Sheffield

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit HGV 1 night drivers for our client in Tankersley, Barnsley.

Hours of work:

• Night Shift
• Various shift patterns available across 7 days
• Various start times

Salary:

• Mon to Fri £16.50 p/h plus £2.00 p/h for holiday pay= £18.50 p/h
• Saturdays paid at £18.99 + £2.30 holiday pay = £21.29 p/h
• Sunday paid at £20.99 + £2.54 holiday pay = £23.53 p/h
• Example Mon to Fri = 50 hours x £18.50 = £925.00!!!

The Role:

• Ongoing work - different roles
• Trunking work or store delivery. Mostly regular routes with mixture of delivery runs including 1 hit and 4/5 hit runs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
• Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
• To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

• Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat C+E licence.
• Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card and valid Digital tacho card.
• Good communication skills and good customer relations.
• Have a safe driving record with no more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations with no DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations. xiskglj
