Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit HGV 1 Drivers to help support clients in the Newport area.
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday roughly 45+
- Weekends also available only if requested.
Salary:
- Days - £17.93ph inclusive of holiday pay
The Role:
- Tramping
- General Haulage HGV 1 vehicles.
- Mainly trunking and trailer swaps, some curtain work may be necessary.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
- Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
- To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
- To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:
- Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat C+E licence.
- Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
- Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
- Must have at least 6 months experience!
- Good communication skills.
- Good customer relations.
- Have a safe driving record.
- No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
- No DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
