Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit an ongoing HGV 1 driver on behalf of our client to join their team working out of their site in Doncaster (DN11). This position is guaranteed until at least September.
Hours of work:
- Day and Night shifts available
- Monday to Friday - weekend shift availability also
- Days starting 0300 onwards
- Nights starting 1500 onwards
- Guaranteed 8 hours per shift minimum
Salary:
- Mon to Fri Days = £16.50 + £2.00 holiday pay
- Mon to Fri Nights = £17.50 + £2.12 holiday pay
- Saturdays = £19.00 + £2.29 holiday pay
- Sundays = £21.00 + £2.53 holiday pay
The Role:
- Ongoing trunking work
- Trailer swaps involved
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
- Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
- To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
- To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:
- Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat C+E licence with at least 1 years experience.
- Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card and valid Digital tacho card.
- Good communication skills.
- Good customer relations.
- Have a safe driving record with no more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations, and no DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
