Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit Class 1 drivers on behalf of our clients to join their teams around the North East.

Hours of work:

  • Day shift
  • Tramping
  • Start times may vary in clients
  • Monday to Friday OR adhoc days available too if requested

Minimum of 8hrs paid per day

Salary: £13.38 per hour (£15.00 with holiday pay accrual)

The Role:

  • Class 1 work
  • General Haulage

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
  • To complete deliveries in accordance to time scale.
  • To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
  • To comply with health and safety at all times.
  • Able to maintain good working relationships.

Essential Skills:

  • Must hold a valid licence
  • Must be over 21 due to insurance stipulations
  • Good communication skills
  • Good customer relations
  • No DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
