Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV 2 HIAB driver on behalf of various clients based across Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield. These positions are mainly ad-hoc, some ongoing, but the driver would be able to work for other clients.
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday
- Day shifts (Local work) or Night shifts (one hit distance work)
- 0700hr starts to around 1600/1630hr on days
- 1800/1900 starts on nights
Salary:
- £16.50p/h + £2.00p/h Holiday Pay (Paid up front) = Total to you £18.50 p/h up to £17.99p/h + £2.18p/h Holiday Pay (Paid up front) = Total to you £20.17 p/h
- Minimum 8 hrs pay per shift.
- Paid weekly.
The Role:
- Delivery of scaffolding products.
- Collections from businesses & building sites.
- Days/Nights (occasional nights out may be available and paid at £25.00 per night)
- Minimal handball
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
- Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
- To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
- To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:
- Must hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence.
- Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
- Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
- Must hold a valid HIAB Licence and have some experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Good customer relations.
- Have a safe driving record.
- No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
- No DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
