HGV Class 1 Driver Reading
We are looking for skilled and dependable HGV Class 1 driver for multiple roles based in and around Reading for PM Shifts.
Requirements:
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious
- Previous experience driving Class 1 HGVs safely and efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Confidently operate Class 1 vehicles.
- Moving Class 1 vehicles in and around the yard, being confident with reversing.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle checks, including tyres, fluids, safety features, and control systems in line with company standards
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns using company documentation
- Adhere to assigned delivery routes and instructions, maintaining communication with dispatch as needed
- Some general warehouse duties when quiet, helping to keep yard tidy.
- Driving vehicles on to MOT Ramp.
- Follow all health and safety procedures without exception
- Potential ongoing position for the right candidate, based on performance and attendance.
Working Patterns:
- Ongoing assignments
- PM Shift- 18:00PM start to 06:00AM finish.
- Should be available to commit to 12 hours shifts.
- Monday to Friday.
Rates of Pay:
- £22.00 per hour dependent on role offered (Inclusive of holiday pay)
