Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV 2 multidrop driver for our client in Sheffield. A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role. Please ensure you check the overview below carefully. Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply!
Hours of work:
- Days 0500/0600 start
- Monday to Friday with alternate Saturdays
Pay:
- £14.27 p/h plus £1.73 p/h in accrued holiday pay (Total inclusive of holiday pay £16.00 p/h)
- Saturdays = £17.00 (£15.16 + £1.84 in accrued holiday pay)
The Role:
- Cage and palletised deliveries on a regular route.
- Tail Lift
- Minimal handball may be required on some jobs
- Up to 10 drops
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
- Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
- To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
- To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:
- Must hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence.
- Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card and valid Digital tacho card.
- Good communication skills.
- Good customer relations.
- Have a safe driving record with no more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
- No DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
