Class 1 Trampers urgently required in Barnsley, Rotherham and Goole. This will be Monday to Friday and will be ongoing work.

Applicants with less than 1 year on their HGV 1 licence are welcome to apply provided they have at least 6 month's experience of HGV work.

Whats on offer?

  • £16.06 per hour + £1.94 holiday pay (accrued) + £27.50 per night tax free!
  • Example gross pay = £16.06 x 50 hours + £110 tax free = £913.00 with £96.92 in accrued holiday pay!
  • Ongoing tramping work out of Barnsley, Rotherham or Goole.

The role:

  • Monday to Friday (nights out Monday to Thursday)
  • Drivers currently doing between 45 and 60 hours each week.
  • Barnsley: Delivery and collection of pipes and drainage products to building suppliers and sites, with other collection and delivery work once away from site.
  • Rotherham and Goole: Delivery and collection of packaging to and from clients, with other collection and delivery work once away from site.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
  • Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures in a safe and professional manner.
  • To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

  • Be able to work on own initiative
  • Must hold a valid HGV 1/Class 1/ Cat CE licence for at 6 months with at least 6 month's experience.
  • Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card and a valid Digital tacho card.
  • Good communication skills and customer relations. xiskglj
  • Have a safe driving record with no more than 6 minor penalty points with no DRs, INs, TT or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
