Drivers direct recruitment is recruiting for one of our national clients, we are looking for 7.5t drivers to join them on a temp to perm / ongoing basis.
Work pattern: Mon-Fri 8-10 hour shifts 0600 Starts
The Role: As a 7.5T Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting and delivering kitchen appliances to residential and commercial locations. You will be the face of the company, interacting with customers and ensuring their products arrive safely and on time. The role involves driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle, loading and unloading appliances, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne delivery vehicle.
- Load and unload kitchen appliances (e.g., fridges, dishwashers, ovens) with care.
- Ensure deliveries are made on time and within scheduled windows.
- Follow delivery routes and schedules, adjusting for any delays or traffic issues.
- Provide friendly, professional service to customers during deliveries and installations.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure your vehicle is in good working order.
- Adhere to all relevant road safety laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean driving record and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
Key Requirements:
- Valid UK driving license with Category C1 (7.5T) entitlement.
- Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle (ideally in a delivery or logistics role).
- Good understanding of the UK road network and traffic regulations.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items (team members will assist with larger deliveries).
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- A positive attitude, punctuality, and reliability.
- Experience in delivering kitchen appliances or similar goods is a plus.
- A good understanding of health and safety procedures.
