Drivers Direct are looking to recruit a reliable and skilled7.5t Delivery Driverto work for our client in Barnsley, on an ad-hoc/ongoing basis. The driver will work in a two person team delivering furniture to residential and business premises.
Shifts
- Any shift / shift pattern between Monday and Saturday,usually Tuesday to Saturday.
- Start time usually around 0600 but may vary depending on client needs.
Pay
- Β£13.44 p/h + Β£1.63 holiday pay p/h =Total = Β£15.07 p/h
Responsibilities
- Operate a C1 / 7.5 tonne lorry to transport goods to designated locations.
- Furniture delivery to residential/private properties.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with customer requirements.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete any necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding road safety.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients.
Experience
- Held C1 / 7.5t licence at least 2 years
- At least 1 year commercial driving experience in 7.5 tonne vehicles.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- No more than 6 points on licence, and no driving offences such as DR, DG, IN, TT
