Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV 2 multidrop driver for our client in Sheffield. Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply.
Hours of work: Days 0500/0600 start Monday to Friday with alternate Saturdays.
Pay: £14.27 p/h plus £1.73 p/h in accrued holiday pay (Total inclusive of holiday pay £16.00 p/h). This can be included in weekly holiday pay! Saturdays = £17.00 (£15.16 + £1.84 in accrued holiday pay). This can be included in weekly holiday pay!
The Role: Cage and palletised deliveries on a regular route. Tail Lift. Minimal handball may be required on some jobs. Up to 10 drops.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
- Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
- To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
- To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:
- Must hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence.
- Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card and valid Digital tacho card.
- Good communication skills.
- Good customer relations.
- Have a safe driving record with no more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
- No DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
