Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a
HGV 1 Drivers to help support clients in the Newport area.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday roughly 45+ Weekends also available only if requested.
The
Role: Tramping General Haulage HGV 1 vehicles.
Mainly trunking and trailer swaps, some curtain work maybe necessary.
Duties/Responsibilities: Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential
Skills: Must hold a valid
HGV 1 / Cat C+E licence.
Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
Must have at least 6 months experience!
Good communication skills.
Good customer relations.
Have a safe driving record.
No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
No DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
