We are currently recruiting professional and experienced drivers to support an exciting autonomous vehicle operation in London. Drivers will operate electric vans and cars on designated routes using satellite navigation systems. The purpose of the role is to assist with the collection of real-time road data through onboard software technology, with all data processed onsite at the end of each shift. This role requires highly disciplined drivers with exceptional driving standards and road awareness.

We are specifically looking for candidates who consistently follow road rules, maintain speed limits, demonstrate smooth and safe driving habits, and keep both hands on the steering wheel at all times while operating the vehicle. Please note this is not a standard delivery driving role. Driving quality and professionalism are absolutely essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating electric vehicles safely and professionally on designated routes
  • Following all road laws and driving regulations without exception
  • Using satellite navigation systems accurately
  • Supporting real-time data collection through consistent driving standards
  • Completing shifts in line with operational and safety procedures
  • Maintaining a professional and respectful attitude towards colleagues and management
Important Information:
  • All candidates must complete both theory and practical driving assessments
  • Drug and alcohol testing will be conducted onsite
  • All vehicles are fitted with onboard cameras, and drivers will be recorded at all times whilst operating the vehicle due to the nature of the work
  • Candidates who do not meet the required driving standards during assessment will not be offered the position
Shift Pattern: 5 days per week Wednesday to Sunday 2:30pm - 11:30pm
Candidate Requirements:

To be considered, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Full UK manual driving licence held for a minimum of 8 years
  • Clean driving licence with no points or offences
  • No major driving disqualifications within the last 11 years
  • No at-fault/blameworthy accidents within the last 3 years
  • Must currently live at the same address registered on the driving licence
  • Must live within approximately 1.5 hours travel time of the office location
  • Must not be operating another business or secondary job alongside this role
  • Professional attitude and excellent communication skills essential
Preferred Experience:

The following backgrounds would be advantageous, although not essential:

  • Driving Instructor
  • Driver Assessor
  • Bus Driver
  • HGV Driver
  • Professional Fleet Driver
Recruitment Timeline:
  • Assessment Day: 17th June
  • Start Date: 22nd June
  • Initial Training: 1 week followed by final assessment
