Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit HGV 1 night drivers for our client in Barnsley.

Hours of work: Night Shift, Various shift patterns available across 7 days, Various start times

Salary:

  • Mon to Fri £16.50 p/h plus £2.00 p/h for holiday pay (accrued)
  • Saturdays paid at £18.99 plus £2.30 holiday pay (accrued)
  • Sunday paid at £20.99 plus £2.54 holiday pay (accrued)

Example Mon to Fri = 50 hours x £16.50 = £825.00 plus £100 in holiday pay (Can be included with your pay if required).

The Role: Ongoing work - different roles. Some trunking work but mainly store delivery. Mostly regular routes with a mixture of delivery runs including 1 hit and 4/5 hit runs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
  • Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
  • To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
  • To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

  • Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat CE licence.
  • Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card and valid Digital tacho card.
  • Good communication skills and good customer relations.
  • Have a safe driving record with no more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations with no DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
  • Must have at least 1 years experience.
