Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced HGV 2 tramper driver for our client in Barnsley for ongoing work.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 0730 starts, 1 or 2 nights out each week paid at £26.50 tax free! DRIVER WILL NEED TO BE FLEXIBLE TO BE ABLE TO NIGHT OUT AS AND WHEN REQUIRED. Guaranteed 8 hours pay each day minimum!
Salary: £15.01 p/h, £1.82 holiday pay (accrued), £26.50 per night Tax Free, Minimum 8 hours pay per shift. Paid weekly. Example gross pay = £15.01 x 45 hours + £675.45 + £26.50 = £701.95 with £81.90 in accrued holiday pay.
The Role: Ongoing work (potential to go perm), Trunking work on the whole, some long runs up to Scotland with a night out. Delivery of plastics and drainage equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
- Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
- To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
- To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:
- Must hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence (held for 12 months min).
- Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card and valid Digital tacho card.
- Good communication skills, and customer relations.
- Have a safe driving record, with no more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
- No DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
