Drivers Direct are recruiting for experienced Class 1 Container drivers for ongoing work Monday to Friday for our client in Doncaster starting ASAP. Tramping opportunities may be available. This is an ongoing role whether on days/nights/tramping. There will be inductions this week.
What’s on offer?
- Monday to Friday Days = £17.00 per hour (£15.16 p/h and £1.84 holiday pay)
- Monday to Friday Nights = £18.00 per hour (£16.06 p/h and £1.94 holiday pay)
- £25 per night out if tramping.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles for container transportation, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
- Container experience essential.
- Execute timely deliveries while maintaining accurate logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle at all times.
- Cannot have any major offences on licence such as IN, TT, DD, BA, CD, DR, DG etc.
Qualifications
- Must have held CE licence at least 1 year.
- Must have some level of previous container experience.
