Driverlink Training are currently recruiting full time permanent Class 1 HGV Day drivers. Experience is preferred but we will consider all candidates and for the right person a training plan will be put together. Shift patterns are on a 4 on 4 off rota with optional overtime always available. Other shift patterns may well become available. Day shifts - £15.60 per hour (start times between 04:00 - 07:00). Daily Bonus is also available after a successful probationary period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To deliver Third Party products to specified locations including store deliveries, ensuring correct paperwork for the delivery.
  • Always adhere to Tachograph and WTD rules and regulations.
  • Observe and adhere to company policies and procedures, including all aspects of SSOWs, health & safety and hygiene.
  • Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
  • Responsible for the accurate, timely movement of deliveries.
  • Ensuring compliant load securing (as per training).
  • Ensuring absolute compliance in vehicle checks and defect reporting (as per training).
  • Adhering to safe working practice to always ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the company.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required.

Successful candidates must have:
  • Valid Class 1 Licence (CE).
  • Valid Digital Tachograph card.
  • Valid DCQ (Driver CPC).
  • NO DD or IN codes on your licence.
  • Great positive attitude to learn, also work as a team player or individually.
  • Excellent knowledge of Tachograph and working time directive rules (Training will be given to new drivers).
  • Good geographical knowledge (route maps are provided).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Great time keeping skills.
