Driver Hire and dh Recruitment (Torbay) are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C Driver) to join a well-established food distribution company based in Newton Abbot, Devon. This is a Monday to Friday driving role with absolutely no weekend work, making it an ideal opportunity for drivers who value their work-life balance.

This position is open to newly qualified Class 2 drivers, so if you have recently passed your Category C licence and are looking for consistent work and real driving experience, we would love to hear from you.

You will be delivering chilled and frozen food products to hospitality businesses across the South West, completing a structured multi-drop delivery route each day.

Pay
£14.00 to £15.69 per hour PAYE
Performance-related bonus scheme

Key Responsibilities

  • Multi-drop delivery of chilled and frozen food products to restaurants, cafes, hotels and takeaways
  • Complete up to 30 customer deliveries per day
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing the business professionally
  • Follow all road transport and driver hours regulations
  • Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time

Essential Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (Category C)
  • Driver CPC Qualification Card
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Reliable and professional attitude
  • Good customer service skills

Desirable Experience
Multi-drop delivery experience is beneficial but not essential. Newly qualified Class 2 drivers are encouraged to apply, as full training and support will be provided.
