We are recruiting Van Drivers (3.5 Tonne Category B) for an ad hoc role based in Newton Abbot, South Devon. Ideally, you will be an experienced van driver to join a busy and well-established distribution operation. This role involves completing deliveries across South Devon while delivering a high level of customer service.
Location: Newton Abbot, South Devon. Accessible from Torquay, Paignton, Totnes, Exeter, Plymouth, and surrounding areas.
Salary: £15.13 per hour PAYE. Advance, other PAYE models are available. Weekly pay every Friday. Permanent full-time role. 8- to 10-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving a 3.5 tonne Category B delivery van safely and responsibly
- Completing customer deliveries across South Devon in a professional manner
- Providing excellent customer service at each delivery point
- Representing the business positively when dealing with customers
- Following all transport regulations, health and safety procedures, and company policies
- Reporting any vehicle defects, delays, or route issues to the relevant team members
- Maintaining reliability, punctuality, and high standards across all shifts
- Working a Thursday to Monday shift pattern
- Starting early each morning
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Full and valid UK Category B driving licence
- Previous experience as a van driver, delivery driver, or multi-drop driver
- Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced distribution environment
- Strong reliability and good time management
- Flexible approach to working Thursday to Monday
Desirable:
- Knowledge of delivery routes across South Devon
- Experience working within logistics or distribution
Please note that previous van delivery experience is required, as there will be limited training available on site.
