We are recruiting for a Workshop Parts and Assembly Support role with a leading company that adapts cars, minibuses, and small vehicles for people with mobility needs. This is a hands-on workshop role supporting technicians who modify and prepare vehicles. It is not a warehouse picking job.

Pay and Hours

  • £***** per hour (PAYE Advance; other pay models are available)
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00 to 16:30
  • Weekly pay
  • 28 days holiday rising to 33 with service
  • Pension scheme with 5% employee and 3% employer contributions

About the Role

You will work in a busy workshop environment, preparing and organising the parts needed for vehicle adaptations. You will support the fitting teams by making sure components are ready, labelled correctly and available at each stage of the build. Some basic assembly work and practical workshop tasks will be involved. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work rather than repetitive warehouse duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing, organising and checking components for vehicle adaptations
  • Supporting technicians by ensuring the correct parts are available for each job
  • Basic assembly work using hand tools
  • Working safely in a workshop environment
  • Keeping parts areas tidy, organised and easy to navigate
  • Following build lists and instructions accurately

Essential Experience

  • Practical, hands-on background in assembly, manufacturing, fitting or a similar environment
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools
  • Ability to understand simple instructions and identify different components
  • Good attention to detail when working with parts and equipment

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting technicians, assemblers or fitters
  • Any background involving vehicle interiors, fittings or equipment installation
  • Interest in vehicles, mechanics or practical workshop work.

  • Candidates whose experience is limited to warehouse picking and packing
