Overview
We\’re seeking dependable Class 2 Refuse Drivers (Cat C) to join a leading waste and recycling service based in Kingsbridge. This is a hands-on role that combines professional vehicle driving with physical waste collection. It offers competitive pay, consistent shifts, and the potential for a permanent position.
Location
Kingsbridge, Devon. Convenient for candidates from South Brent, Totnes, Paignton, Plymouth, and nearby South Devon towns.
Salary
£17.37 – £26.06 per hour (PAYE Advanced). Alternative pay methods available.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive an HGV Category C (Class 2) refuse and recycling vehicle along designated routes
- Assist with loading and emptying bins and containers
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Communicate with depot staff regarding routes and instructions
- Follow health, safety, and compliance guidelines at all times
Qualifications
Essential:
- Valid Cat C (Class 2) licence
- CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, or IN endorsements)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Own transport to travel to depot
- Mobile phone for shift updates
Desirable:
- Previous experience in waste/recycling driving or multi-drop delivery
- Familiarity with South Devon roads and local areas
