Driver Hire and dh Recruitment (Torbay) are recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) and Class 2 (Cat C) drivers for regular assignments across South Devon. Work with established local companies on varied routes throughout Devon and Cornwall.

Your Responsibilities
Duties vary by licence type and client assignment but typically include:
- Driving Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (Cat C) vehicles
- Local and regional deliveries across Devon and Cornwall
- General haulage, palletised goods, trade deliveries, and store runs
- Daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
- Completing delivery paperwork, PODs, and digital tachograph records
- Loading and unloading assistance when required
- Following drivers' hours regulations and client site procedures
Most routes involve early starts with predictable finish times.
What You'll Need
Essential:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (Cat C) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Reliable transport to access client depots
- Ability to manage early starts and some manual handling
