HGV Class 1, Class 2 & 7.5T Drivers - South Devon (Newly Qualified Welcome)

Newly qualified or experienced HGV driver? We\’re recruiting across Class 1, Class 2, and 7.5T in South Devon with flexible shifts, weekly pay, and a variety of local roles.

Location

Roles available across South Devon, including Torquay, Newton Abbot, Paignton, Totnes, South Brent, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, and surrounding areas. Easily commutable from Plymouth and Exeter.

Salary

£16.21 – £21.01 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
Weekly pay with guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per shift

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV vehicles in your licence category (C1, C, or C+E)

• Carry out deliveries across Devon, Cornwall, and sometimes further afield

• Complete necessary checks, paperwork, and tachograph use in line with regulations

• Support clients with safe loading/unloading, including some manual handling

• Represent Driver Hire and our clients in a professional manner

Qualifications

Essential:

• Valid C1, C, or C+E driving licence

• CPC and Digital Tachograph card in date

• Maximum of 6 penalty points on licence (no DR, DD, or IN endorsements)

• Ability to handle early starts and physical aspects of the role

• Your own transport to reach depots/clients

• Mobile phone for shift communication

Desirable:

• Previous experience in HGV driving

• Interest in longer-term or temp-to-perm roles
