The predicted salary is between 40481 - 40481 £ per year.
An opportunity has arisen at one of our Blue Chip Clients, for a Multi Skilled Driver (LGV C & E). The successful candidates will safely operate all types of the Companys LGVs, delivering bulk (class 1) or bagged (class 2) products.
Basic salary will be £40,481.52 per annum PAYE, however overtime pay rates, early start time pay rates and bonuses are paid on top of this figure.
There will be a temp to perm period where you will be paid via our agency before being taken on directly through our client.
The roles will comprise of an average 48 hour working week. The roles you will be required to work a shift pattern of any 5 days from 7 (inclusive of bank holidays). However shift patterns may vary after consultation by the company. All roles require flexible start times and participation in the overtime working rota will be required.
Main Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor or deputy the key areas of responsibility are:
- Working safely.
- Drive and operate the LGV vehicle in accordance with current legislation.
- Unloading and delivering flour sacks from LGVs to customers premises
- Discharge bulk flour in accordance with company operating procedures
- Assist in training and development of colleagues
- Dealing with customers in a professional manner.
- Accurate completion of all relevant paperwork (vehicle defect reports, daily driver debrief sheet, safety observation reports etc.)
- The ability to lift heavy items (i.e. 16 kg flour sacks)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous bulk powder or liquid discharge experience an advantage, however full training will be given.
- The ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
- The ability to manage your time effectively, work well as part of a team and independently
Education & Experience:
- A full HGV Class 1 licence (with no more than 6 points), preferably have previous driving experience.
- DCPC qualification card
- Digital Tachograph card
- Comprehensive knowledge of road transport legislation (EU drivers hours, RTD, Highway Code etc.)
