About the Role
- As a HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will play an important role in keeping local communities clean by safely collecting household waste and recycling across the Braintree area.
- Drive a refuse collection vehicle on planned local routes.
- Lead and work alongside a team of loaders throughout the shift.
- Collect household, recycling, and garden waste from residential properties.
- Empty waste at authorised disposal facilities.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and complete required paperwork.
- Assist the loading team when operationally required.
About You
- We're looking for a reliable and safety-conscious driver with the right experience and a strong work ethic.
- Hold a valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence.
- Have a minimum of 2 years' HGV Class 2 driving experience.
- Previous rear steer and dustcart/refuse vehicle experience is essential.
- Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Be physically fit and happy to assist with loading duties when required.
- Demonstrate excellent awareness of road safety and teamwork.
