We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our client in Braintree on an ongoing temporary basis, offering consistent work, competitive pay, and a supportive working environment.

  • Competitive pay of £21.45 per hour
  • Monday to Friday working pattern for long weekends every week
  • Minimum of 7.5 hours paid per shift excluding Fridays which is 7 hours
  • Ongoing temporary work with consistent hours
  • Enhanced hourly rates available for weekend work during busy periods

As a HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will play an important role in keeping local communities clean by safely collecting household waste and recycling across the Braintree area.

  • Drive a refuse collection vehicle on planned local routes
  • Lead and work alongside a team of loaders throughout the shift
  • Collect household, recycling, and garden waste from residential properties
  • Empty waste at authorised disposal facilities
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and complete required paperwork
  • Assist the loading team when operationally required

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' HGV Class 2 driving experience
  • Be physically fit and happy to assist with loading duties when required
