Driver Support Services are recruiting for HGV Class 1 day drivers to work for our client based in Tilbury working on container distribution. You will become an integral part of their expanding team providing an excellent and professional service to their customers. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, honest company that wants the best for our drivers and customers alike. We are looking for ongoing drivers who have the same work ethic as we do.
We offer a wide range of work to suit most driver needs and can keep you busy. For this position, you'll be required to use the Tilbury docks as well as Gateway and Felixstowe. Container experience is essential as you will need to know various parts of the ports in order to load and unload boxes. Other experience such as using a slider trailer and a splitter trailer would also be useful as you may need to know how to split a trailer or slide a trailer if you have a 20-foot box on.
