Location: Mercia Park DE12 8AA

Salary: Days £13.45 – Nights £15.36

Driver Resource Recruitment are seeking to recruit x2 Traffic Clerks for our client based in Appleby Magna – x1 AM role and x1 PM role.

Duties:

  • To ensure the transport operation and office is effectively and efficiently managed to meet and exceed the expectations of the customer.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with supervisors and managers at end Customer and across all necessary functions within the business.
  • Ensure that all commercial and financial targets are met and consistently maintained.
  • Responsible that the contract is compliant with all legal and safety requirements and to/or company guidelines.
  • To ensure that the transport office is compliant and meets all internal audits.
  • To grow the business through the identification of further opportunities and/or organic growth.

You will collaborate with:

  • Drivers
  • Transport Supervisors
  • Traffic Clerk – Day shift / Night Shift
  • Traffic Clerk – Afternoon shift
  • Customer Service Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all driver paperwork is correct before allocation to driver.
  • Monitor drivers to ensure all safety checks are completed on vehicles prior to departure.
  • Updating System (Transnet and Microlise) on dispatch of driver.
  • Record and monitor drivers shift times in line with the CPR.
  • Liaise with Subcontractors and couriers along with the transport team to ensure smooth transactions.
  • First point of contact for drivers on shift.
  • Monitor and record any transport issues/problems and escalate as required.
  • Debriefing any returning radial or Trunking night drivers.

You will need:

  • Good organisational skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
  • PC Literate
  • Administration skills
  • Able to follow company policies and procedures
  • Desire to develop skills and progress career

Hours:

  • Tuesday – Saturday 8am - 16:30
  • Nights Monday – Friday 00:00 (midnight)-08:30
