HGV class 2 RCV Driver/operator Job Description:
Duties:
- Carry out daily walk around checks prior to leaving the yard each morning and report any defects using the app.
- Follow daily scheduled routes and collection timetables efficiently
- Safely operate a commercial RCV motor vehicle to collect refuse waste and recyclable materials to designated disposal sites.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Follow company policies and procedures for safe handling of hazardous materials, if applicable
- Working hours are typically Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:00
- Seasonal weekend work occurs during one weekend in July each year
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated
