About the Role

The Client are currently seeking reliable and professional HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of white goods (washing machines, dishwashers, fridge freezers) to high-street stores rather than large distribution centres. This is a versatile role requiring a strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliveries: Safely transport white goods from the depot to various customer locations, ensuring timely and accurate arrival.
  • Loading/Unloading: Handle products with care using specialized equipment (trolleys/straps). Note: You will generally be single-crewed, though a second person will be provided for heavier goods.
  • Vehicle Safety: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks; maintain vehicle cleanliness and operational status.
  • Customer Service: Act as the face of the company, providing professional and courteous service, communicating delivery times, and handling product placement.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete delivery notes, obtain customer signatures, maintain delivery logs, and report any issues or delays promptly.

Working Hours

Start Time: 06:00 (approx. 9-hour shifts).

About You

  • Licence: Valid Category C (Class 2) licence.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of HGV experience (less may be considered if DNI covered).
  • Compliance: Must have a valid DVLA check and be able to provide necessary documentation.
  • Attitude: Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn. As this is a temp-to-perm role, we are looking for candidates committed to long-term growth as our operations expand.
