The role:
Driver Resource are currently seeking to recruit Class 1 Drivers (HGV / LGV) to work on an ongoing basis for RXO on the Costco contract based at Crick, Northamptonshire.
Duties for the Class 1 Driver (HGV / LGV) include:
- 1–2 trunk deliveries per day to Costco stores with a possible collection on return from one of their suppliers.
- This is purely a driving role as the vehicle is security pad‑locked and only opened by store staff when arriving at the destination.
- The only time a driver is expected to help with loading is at one client's customers. All other sites load the vehicle themselves.
Average hours per day are 10–12. Weekday hours can be longer during busy periods. Weekend shifts can be shorter. Minimum 8 hours will apply. Availability is taken the week prior and shift times are texted out daily by 9:00–9:30am the day before.
This contract does not employ permanent staff so all Class 1 drivers (HGV / LGV) come from the agency. It runs 52 weeks a year.
Bonus Recognition Scheme:
This contract offers a yearly driver’s bonus recognition scheme paid annually at Christmas. To qualify:
- Minimum of 15 shifts in a calendar month.
- Zero “No Shows” – failure to attend a confirmed shift.
- Zero tachograph infringements covering driving hours & WTD.
- No avoidable accidents or injuries, and no camera activations showing: late response, near collision, following time less than 4 seconds, hitting the curb, red light violations, handheld mobile device, smoking in the cab, speeding or not wearing a seatbelt.
- Complete 12 months with the company and still be employed as of December.
Upon meeting the criteria and completing 12 months, drivers will be rewarded with £600 in high‑street vouchers.
