Salary:
- Monday To Friday: £18.00 (Holiday accrual £20.17, Holiday included £23.73 Umbrella)
- Saturday: £20.00 (Holiday accrual £22.41, Holiday included £26.37 Umbrella)
- Sunday/Bank holidays: £22.00 (Holiday accrual £24.65, Holiday included £29.01 Umbrella)
Job Type: Contract - Ongoing
Shifts: Early mornings - 00:00 - 02:30 starts
Shift availability: Friday to Tuesday or Saturday to Wednesday with additional overtime available.
The role:
Driver Resource are currently seeking to recruit Class 1 Drivers (HGV/LGV) to work on an ongoing basis for RXO on the Costco contract based at Crick, Northamptonshire.
Duties:
- 1/2 Trunks per day to Costco stores with a possible collection on return from one of their suppliers.
- This is purely a driving role as the vehicle is security padlocked and only opened by store staff when arriving at the destination.
- The only time a driver is expected to help with loading will be at one of the Clients customers. All other sites will load the vehicle themselves.
- Average hours for the Class 1 Drivers (HGV/LGV) are 10-12 per day. However, weekday hours can be longer in busy periods. Weekend shifts can be shorter. Minimum 8 hours will apply.
The Class 1 Drivers' availability is taken the week prior and shift times are texted out daily by 9:00/9:30am the day before. This contract does not employ permanent staff so all Class 1 drivers (HGV/LGV) come from the agency. They operate 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.

The Client offers a yearly drivers bonus recognition scheme for all of the Class 1 drivers (HGV/LGV) which is paid annually at Christmas. To qualify for this:
- A minimum of 15 shifts in a calendar month.
- Zero 'No Shows' (failure to attend a confirmed shift).
- Zero tachograph infringements covering Driving Hours & WTD.
- No avoidable accidents or injuries, and no camera activations showing Late Response, Near Collision, following time less than 4 seconds, hitting the curb, red light violations, handheld mobile device, smoking in the cab, speeding and not wearing a seatbelt.
If a driver completes 12 months with us and is still with us in December and has met the qualifying criteria, they will be rewarded with £600 in high street vouchers.

- Class 1 Drivers License
- 6 Months relevant experience on the above license
