HGV Class 1 Driver Vacancy Temp ongoing vacancies available, Magna Park, Lutterworth, Leicestershire. Various shift patterns full and part time opportunities available (Over time is available on request).
My Client is the approved logistics partner for one of the UK’s largest Supermarket Chains which has developed consolidated logistics centres in Hinckley, Lutterworth and Doncaster. Ideally located in striking distance of the Key UK ports and more importantly the UK Retailer warehouses.
Job role will include:
- Average drop 1 - 3 deliveries/Collections per shift.
- 02:00am - 16:00am starts for days, 7 day a week operation.
- 17:00 - 01:00am starts for nights, 7 day a week operation.
- 10-12-hour shifts on average however, it is possible to complete a 15 hour day.
- Curtainside & Refrigerated vehicles.
- Delivery to RDC’s throughout the UK.
- Possible collections from the Clients suppliers.
- Mostly driving however, there will be a requirement to assist with loading/unloading if requested by the depots/Clients.
- Complete POD's & Return them to the transport office.
- Ensuring goods are safely secured.
- Completing LGV vehicle defect and maintaining logs.
PAY RATES:
- DAYS PAYE Hol Included in rate MON - SUN £16.50 £18.49
- NIGHTS MON - SUN £18.50 £20.73
What we are looking for:
- A valid full category HGV C+E Licence (Class 1).
- LGV C+E Experience.
- 6 months experience with HGV C+E Licence.
- No more than 3 points on driving licence.
- NO DR, IN or MS90 conviction codes due to insurance restrictions.
- Minimum age 21 years due to insurance criteria.
- Drivers will be required to have a good attitude and able to work by themselves or with a team.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
- Have good customer service skills and an eye for detail.
- Able to manage your time and deliveries well (avoiding infringements at all costs).
This position is commutable from: Leicestershire, Nuneaton, Rugby & Coventry.
