HGV Class 1 Drivers based in Nuneaton (Bermuda Park)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (closed on bank holidays); occasional Sundays. Afternoon starts between 14:30 - 15:00; 8 - 10 hour shifts.

Pay Rates:

  • Days: £17 per hour (£19.05 with holiday pay inclusive)
  • Nights: £17.50 per hour (£19.61 with holiday pay inclusive)
  • Saturdays: £18.50 per hour (£20.63 with holiday pay inclusive)
  • Sundays: £20 per hour (£22.41 with holiday pay inclusive)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Local deliveries and collections all within the West Mids area.
  • Use of manual pump truck in back of the trailer whilst forklift loads/unloads pallets.
  • Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are duly reported, ensuring the vehicle and its load are road-worthy and do not pose a threat to other road-users.
  • Liaise with customers, abiding by customer rules and regulations whilst on site.
  • Liaise with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts.
  • Effectively manage your driving time so that you don’t acquire infringements.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 12 months experience of driving Class 1 vehicles on UK roads.
  • Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions (DD/DR/IN10's).
  • Driver CPC qualification card.

Temp to perm opportunities are available for the right driver.
