HGV Class 1 Drivers Needed – Based Nuneaton (Bermuda Park)
Monday to Friday (closed on bank holidays), occasional Sundays. Afternoon starts between 14:30 – 15:00. 8–10 hour shifts.
PAYE Rates: Mon‑Fri £18 per hour (£20.17 holiday pay inclusive); Saturdays £18.50 per hour (£20.63 holiday pay inclusive); Sundays £20 per hour (£22.41 holiday pay inclusive).
Temp to perm opportunities available for the right driver.
Responsibilities
- Local deliveries and collections all within the West Midlands area.
- Use of manual pump truck in back of the trailer while forklift loads/unloads pallets.
- Ensure daily vehicle checks are carried out and defects reported, ensuring vehicle and load are road‑worthy.
- Liaise with customers, abide by their rules and regulations while on site.
- Liaise with the Transport Team to keep them apprised of delivery status and whereabouts.
- Effectively manage driving time to avoid infringements.
Qualifications and Experience
- 12 months experience driving Class 1 vehicles on UK roads.
- Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions (DD/DR/IN10's).
- Driver CPC qualification card required.
